About Us

Who We Are

We are a movement of passionate women dedicated to freeing oppressed and enslaved women and children worldwide. We do this by praying intentionally and participating in physical challenges while raising funds and awareness to disrupt the cycles of oppression and poverty that can lead to human trafficking.

Our Mission

We want to build a community of women dedicated to seeing vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least reached of the least reached, oppressed women and children.

Our Objectives

We care for women by fostering their spiritual, mental, and physical well-being to equip them to expand the Kingdom of God.

Pray Intentionally

We pray to God for freedom and justice for the vulnerable, oppressed, and enslaved.

Give Generously

We fundraise to contribute to projects that bring freedom to vulnerable women and children worldwide.

Go (Challenge Yourself)

We participate in Challenges and other experiences to advocate for the freedom of women and children while stepping into new levels of personal freedom.

Our History

Freedom Climb

In January 2012, 48 women from seven different countries gathered in Tanzania and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro–the world’s tallest free-standing mountain–to declare freedom for those who could not. Climbers from all over the world have continued that mission to mobilize women to pray, give, and go.

Freedom Challenge

In 2015, Freedom Climb expanded its activities beyond the mountain ranges and became Freedom Challenge — a movement of passionate women dedicated to freeing oppressed and enslaved women and children worldwide through prayer, giving, and action.

Our Connection to Operation Mobilization

We are a ministry of Operation Mobilization (OM), a global Christian movement founded in 1957, whose vision is to see vibrant communities of Jesus followers within reach of everyone. The Freedom Challenge was launched in 2012 to engage women to pray, give, and go. Through our events, our community raises money that supports over 40 OM projects worldwide. These projects are dedicated to helping vulnerable, oppressed, and trafficked women and children.
